In Punta Gorda, 43-year-old Giddel Santana Morales was apprehended by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly taking camper vans meant for those affected by Hurricane Ian.
Florida Highway Patrol revealed that Morales is implicated in a criminal network involved in the theft, sale, and distribution of RVs with a combined value exceeding $100,000.
As per the arrest report, Morales allegedly provided vehicles to co-conspirators to carry out these unlawful activities.
Morales is now confronting numerous charges, including grand theft and racketeering.
