The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office continues its crackdown on illegal gambling in our community. Last Thursday, the Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at a Bradenton storefront on 26th Street West, discovering a fully operational gambling setup hidden behind an arcade facade. Officers seized over $23,600 in cash, 34 gambling machines, and 89 computer towers loaded with gambling software. A 21-year-old woman was arrested after attempting to flee through a rear exit when detectives arrived.
What makes this bust particularly significant is that it marks the second enforcement action at the same location. The fact that an illegal gambling operation reopened at a previously raided address highlights a persistent problem in Manatee County. These operations don’t just appear overnight—they require equipment, cash management, and ongoing operation. The Sheriff’s Office investigation remains active, suggesting there may be more to uncover about the network behind these setups.
If you suspect illegal gambling activity in your neighborhood, reporting it matters. The Sheriff’s Office relies on community tips to identify these operations before they establish deep roots. Have you noticed unusual activity at a local business that might warrant a closer look?
