Manatee County deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of stabbing a 15-year-old boy in Bradenton. The attack happened Monday afternoon shortly before 3 p.m. in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East. The teenager, who was outside his own home, suffered multiple stab wounds to his neck and upper body. He was rushed to a regional hospital where his injuries are listed as serious but not life-threatening.

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Quazone Elijawun Taylor. Investigators say Taylor was visiting the residence at the time of the attack and fled before deputies arrived. A thorough search of the area, including the use of SWAT teams and drones, came up empty. Deputies also checked the home’s attic but did not find Taylor hiding there. He remains at large as of Tuesday morning and is described as a Black man, 5’9″ tall, weighing around 160 pounds.

Authorities are treating this as a priority case and urge anyone with information to come forward. Do not approach Taylor if you see him; he is considered dangerous. Instead, contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office immediately. This is a frightening situation for the entire Suncoast community, and the sooner he’s in custody, the safer we all feel.
