Nicole Taylor, a member of the country trio Taylor Red, died Sept. 28 at age 35 following a four-year battle with breast cancer. Her sisters and bandmates, Nika and Natalie Taylor, announced the news on the band’s website and in a YouTube video, saying she is at peace and no longer suffering. “Nicole, the oldest of us three sisters, will be greatly missed,” the sisters wrote. “She was our leader and our best friend.”nnThe trio, made up of identical triplets from Mississippi who later relocated to Nashville, built a massive online audience of 16.7 million YouTube subscribers after their song “Country Money” went viral in 2021. The group’s rise was a family affair from the start, with three sisters sharing every stage and every milestone together.nnNicole’s death at 35 is a reminder that breast cancer affects women of all ages, and that early detection remains the most important tool we have. For Suncoast listeners who have faced a diagnosis or walked alongside someone who has, this story lands close to home. If you’ve been putting off a screening, consider this your nudge.
