Pink After Dark: Wine, Whiskey & Wheels lands at Skyway Motorspace in Palmetto on Thursday, October 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., raising money for the American Cancer Society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Your evening includes wine and bourbon tastings, food from local restaurants, entertainment, raffles, and a silent auction. The pours come from locally owned Loaded Cannon Distillery, which is reason enough for some folks to show up early.

Then there’s the setting. Skyway Motorspace is a 45,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility holding roughly 450 vehicles, and guests are free to wander past exotics and classics throughout the night. Co-chair Tyler Butler described it as “a plethora of exotics, classics, just beautiful automobiles.” Organizers built the event for both men and women, so it works whether you’re a car person or just along for the tastings.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite by searching “Pink After Dark,” and the flyer advertises a two-for-one offer. The first 100 guests receive swag bags. Event chair Carey Gerardi, co-chair Tyler Butler, and Skyway general manager Will Bean all share personal connections to the cancer fight, and Butler is a skin cancer survivor himself. That’s the heart of this one: a good night out in Palmetto that supports neighbors across the Suncoast.
