The World Series shifts to St. Petersburg tonight, and the Tampa Bay Rays need it. Down two games to none after dropping both openers in Milwaukee, the Rays host the Brewers for Game 3 at 8 p.m. at Tropicana Field. The math is straightforward: win at least two of the three games at home, and the series goes back to Milwaukee for a Game 6 or Game 7.
Fans were out around the Trop on Monday, hanging banners and setting up watch parties at bars near the stadium. There is history on the home team’s side, too. Ten clubs have come back from a 2-0 deficit in the World Series, most recently the 1996 Yankees against the Braves.
Even a few Brewers jerseys have been spotted around town, which tells you the crowds are big and the mood is real. First pitch is 8 p.m., so there is still time to plan your night. Where are you watching Game 3? Let us know in the comments.
