Rod Stewart has announced “The Final Encore Tour,” and it will close out more than six decades of performing. The run opens April 29, 2027, in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and finishes July 24, 2027, in Hannover, Germany. There are no American dates on the farewell schedule, which means the closest thing to a local goodbye happens before the tour even starts.
Before heading to Europe, the 81-year-old will play three U.S. shows in March 2027: Savannah, Biloxi, and Hollywood, Florida. That Hollywood date is the one Suncoast fans will want to circle. The announcement follows a rough stretch for Stewart, who canceled most of his 2026 tour dates after undergoing a coronary stent procedure.
His resume is hard to top. Stewart began performing in 1962, has released more than 30 studio albums, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, went in again with Faces in 2012, and was knighted by Prince William in 2016. For a lot of Gulf Coast listeners, his songs have been the backdrop to weddings, road trips, and retirement parties for decades.
