Sarasota gets one more day of easy weather before the atmosphere turns back into a sauna. Expect mostly sunny skies Monday with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows tonight in the mid 60s inland, upper 60s to near 70 at the beaches. Dew points begin creeping up Monday, which is the first sign the comfortable air is on the way out.
Tuesday brings humidity back with a 30% rain chance, and moisture keeps building from there. By midweek, rain chances jump to 70% with afternoon and evening storms, the kind that build after lunch and linger into the night. Temperatures climb too, returning to the upper 80s and low 90s by the end of the workweek, so mornings become the best window for beach trips and outdoor projects.
In the tropics, Tropical Depression Fay is out in the open Atlantic with 35 mph winds, moving south at 5 mph, and poses no threat to the U.S. A nearby disturbance has a 50% chance of forming in two days and 60% in seven, and it’s expected to stay out at sea. No local impacts from either system.
