SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES ARE LOOKING FOR A MAN WHO ROBBED A FOOD STORE IN SARASOTA OVER THE WEEKEND.  DEPUTIES SAY THE MAN ENTERED THE STOP-N-SHOP AT 4201 TAMIAMI TRAIL JUST AFTER 9:15PM SATURDAY AND DISPLAYED A HANDGUN TO THE CLERK, DEMANDING MONEY FROM THE REGISTER.  THE CLERK GAVE HIM AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF CASH AND HE WAS LAST SEEN WALKING NORTH ALONG TAMIAMI TRAIL FROM MILL TERRACE.  THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MAN BETWEEN 50 AND 60 YEARS OLD, BETWEEN 5’6 AND 5’9 TALL, ABOUT 165 POUNDS.  HE HAD A FULL WHITE GOATEE, TATTOOS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE LEFT CALF, ON THE REAR OF THE RIGHT CALF, AND POSSIBLY ON HIS RIGHT FOREARM.  HE WAS WEARING A CAMOUFLAGE BASEBALL HAT, GRAY T-SHIRT, JEAN SHORTS WITH WHITE TENNIS SHOES AND WHITE SOCKS.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ENCOURAGED TO CALL THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 861-5800, OR YOU CAN LEAVE AN ANONYMOUS TIP WITH CRIME STOPPERS, EITHER BY PHONE AT 366-TIPS, OR ONLINE AT WWW.SARASOTACRIMESTOPPERS.COM.
