THERE WERE THREE SEPARATE BICYCLE ACCIDENTS IN THE SOUTHWEST PLEX ON TUESDAY.  THE FIRST OCCURRED JUST BEFORE 8:20AM AT EAST BAY STREET AND OLD VENICE ROAD IN OSPREY.  TROOPERS SAY 61 YEAR OLD EDWARD KAMINSKIE TURNED RIGHT INTO THE PATH OF 14 YEAR OLD DETER HUDSON OF SARASOTA AFTER STOPPING FOR A STOP SIGN.  HUDSON ONLY RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES AND WAS TREATED AT THE SCENE.  KAMINSKIE WAS CITED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RIGHT OF WAY FROM A STOP SIGN.  THE SECOND OCCURRED A BIT MORE THAN 20 MINUTES LATER AT US 41 AND VETERANS BOULEVARD IN MURDOCK.  24 YEAR OLD MOQRANE LATTARI WAS REPORTEDLY RIDING SOUTHBOUND AND AGAINST THE TRAFFIC ON 41 WHEN HE RODE INTO THE PATH OF A PICKUP TURNING LEFT ONTO VETERANS THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 31 YEAR OLD JONATHAN WHARTON OF NORTH PORT.  LATTARI WAS FLOWN TO LEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN FT. MYERS WITH MINOR INJURIES, AND HE WAS CITED FOR RIDING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.  THE THIRD AND MOST SERIOUS ACCIDENT OCCURRED JUST AFTER 8:30 LAST NIGHT ON NORTHBOUND PRINEVILLE STRET NEAR TULANE AVENUE.  THERE, 36 YEAR OLD DANIEL BARTHOLOMY OF PORT CHARLOTTE WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON THE GRASSY SHOULDER OF SOUTHBOUND PRINEVILLE.  HE WAS WEARING DARK CLOTHING WITHOUT ANY REFLECTIVE EMBLEMS OR A HELMET WHEN HE PULLED OUT ONTO THE PAVED ROADWAY AND INTO THE PATH OF AN SUV DRIVEN BY 21 YEAR OLD JUSTIN CAUFFMAN OF NORTH PORT.  BARTHOLOMY WAS THROWN TO THE GROUND, THEN AIRLIFTED TO LEE MEMORIAL IN SERIOUS CONDITION.  CHARGES ARE PENDING THE COMPLETION OF THAT INVESTIGATION.
