NO ONE WAS INJURED WHEN A SCHOOL BUS WAS HIT BY A VAN IN ENGLEWOOD MONDAY.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 76 YEAR OLD JANET STRICKDORN OF NORTH PORT WAS STOPPED FOR THE SIGNAL ON SOUTH MCCALL ROAD AT PINE STREET JUST AFTER 2PM.  SHE THEN TURNED HER VAN RIGHT AND INTO THE PATH OF A SCHOOL BUS THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 45 YEAR OLD LAURA LOT OF NORTH PORT.  THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES, BUT NEITHER DRIVER NOR THE THIRTEEN LEMON BAY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ON BOARD WERE INJURED.  TROOPERS CITED STRICKDORN FOR FAILURE TO YIELD THE RIGHT OF WAY IN THE INCIDENT, AND THE PARENTS OF THE STUDENTS ON BOARD THE BUS WERE NOTIFIED.
