AN ARCADIA WOMAN WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE EARLY THIS MORNING.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 22 YEAR OLD BRITTANY GARROD WAS NORTHBOUND ON 75 JUST NORTH OF THE JONES LOOP ROAD EXIT AROUND 2:30AM WHEN SHE TRIED TO CHANGE LANES AND RAN INTO THE PATH OF A TRACTOR TRAILER THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 56 YEAR OLD ALFONSO TREVINO OF IMMOKALEE.  THE IMPACT, WHICH WAS ON THE TRAILER ITSELF, FORCED THE TRUCK TO COME TO REST ON THE EAST SHOULDER.  GARROD WAS TAKEN TO CHARLOTTE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER WITH MINOR INJURIES, WHILE TREVINO WAS NOT INJURED.  TROOPERS SAY THEY WILL AWAIT TOXICOLOGY RESULTS BEFORE DETERMINING IF ALCOHOL PLAYED A ROLE IN THE MISHAP, AND CHARGES ARE PENDING.
