SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES ARE LOOKING FOR A MAN WHO ROBBED A VENICE BANK LATE YESTERDAY (TUESDAY) AFTERNOON. DEPUTIES SAY THE MAN STRUCK THE WACHOVIA BANK AT 1301 US 41 BYPASS JUST BEFORE 4PM. HE IMPLIED THAT HE HAD A GUN BUT NONE WAS ACTUALLY SEEN. ONCE HE GRABBED THE MONEY, HE FLED ON FOOT, CLIMBING OVER A FENCE INTO AN INDUSTRIAL AREA BEHIND THE BANK. HE IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MAN BETWEEN 40 AND 50 YEARS OLD, 5’8” TALL, ABOUT 150 POUNDS WITH SALT AND PEPPER HAIR AND A SCRUFFY BEARD. HE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A CAMOUFLAGE BASEBALL CAP, A RED AND WHITE CHECKERED FLANNEL SHIRT AND TAN PANTS.
