THE BEACH WATER ADVISORY FOR VENICE PUBLIC BEACH WAS LIFTED AGAIN YESTERDAY AFTER SARASOTA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS RECEIVED TESTING RESULTS FROM SAMPLES TAKEN WEDNESDAY.  WATER QUALITY AT VENICE BEACH NOW MEETS STANDARDS SET BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND THE STATE FOR RECREATIONAL USE.  RESIDENTS AND VISITORS CAN RETURN TO SWIMMING AND OTHER WATER SPORTS, AND THE NO SWIM SIGNAGE IS BEING REMOVED.  HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CLOSELY MONITOR THE BEACH WATER AT VENICE BEACH, AND THEY WILL KEEP THE PUBLIC APPRISED OF ANY NEW INFORMATION REGARDING POTENTIAL FACTORS THAT ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THE ELEVATED BACTERIA LEVELS OVER THE PAST THREE WEEKS.  RESIDENTS AND VISITORS CAN VISIT THE WEBSITE WWW.OURGULFENVIRONMENT.NET TO CHECK BEACH WATER TESTING RESULTS FOR THEMSELVES, OR THEY CAN CALL THE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICE AT 861-6133 DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
