A WOMAN REPORTED THAT SHE WAS ATTACKED WHILE CHECKING ON HER SCOOTER EARLY THIS MORNING.  SARASOTA COUNTY DEPUTIES WERE CALLED TO THE CORNER OF WEBBER STREET AND TUTTLE AVENUE JUST BEFORE 5AM BY THE VICTIM WHO SAID SHE WAS STOPPED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN SHE WAS APPROACHED BY HER ATTACKER.  HE REPORTEDLY POINTED A BLACK HAND GUN AT HER AND DEMANDED HER MOTOR SCOOTER.  THE VICTIM SAID SHE PUSHED THE GUN AWAY AND DROVE OFF, WHILE THE ASSAILANT RAN EASTBOUND ON WEBBER.  DEPUTIES COMBED THE AREA BUT DID NOT FIND ANYONE.  THE ATTACKER IS DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MAN, ABOUT 25 YEARS OLD, SIX FEET TALL, ABOUT 200 POUNDS, WITH DARK HAIR.  HE WAS WEARING DARK CLOTHING, POSSIBLY A HOODIE.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON THIS CASE IS ASKED TO CALL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS AT 861-4900, OR YOU CAN LEAVE ANONYMOUS INFORMATION WITH CRIME STOPPERS, EITHER BY PHONE AT 366-TIPS, OR ONLINE AT WWW.SARASOTACRIMESTOPPERS.COM.
