A NORTH PORT WOMAN WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 21 YEAR OLD KHALI DISHMAN WAS SOUTHBOUND IN THE LEFT LANE OF I-75 APPROACHING THE KINGS HIGHWAY OVERPASS JUST BEFORE 7AM YESTERDAY WHEN SHE LOST CONTROL OF HER 1998 INFINITI AND ENTERED THE GRASSY MEDIAN.  IN AN EFFORT TO RE-ENTER THE ROADWAY, DISHMAN ABRUPTLY STEERED TO THE RIGHT, WHICH CAUSED HER TO SPIN OUT.  SHE ENTERED THE GRASSY SHOULDER, STRUCK A DITCH AND OVERTURNED BEFORE HITTING A FENCE.  DESPITE WEARING A SEAT BELT, DISHMAN WAS THROWN FROM HER CAR.  SHE WAS AIRLIFTED TO LEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION.  TROOPERS SAY ALCOHOL WAS NOT A FACTOR AND NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED.
