No injuries were reported in Saturday’s partial collapse, and the facility says all residents have been relocated to other Aviata properties across Florida. The company issued a statement saying emergency contacts have been notified and that relocated residents have “all the staff, supplies, medications, and resources necessary to continue providing uninterrupted care and services.” But for families on the Suncoast, the incident raises serious questions about how state inspection findings translate into real action.
