Caitlyn “Katie” Sandt was 18 years old when her family reported her missing to Bradenton police in November 2024. Their last contact with her was in October. After about two weeks with no word, they called police, and the search has been underway ever since. Detectives say they’ve pursued numerous leads, but none have located Sandt or her personal belongings.
The case has now taken a national step. Sandt has been entered into the FBI’s ViCAP Missing Person database, a tool that lets investigators compare her information against cases and records from agencies across the country. If she’s somewhere outside Florida, that entry gives her a better chance of being identified and connected back to Bradenton.
Sandt is described as 5’2″, about 125 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information can contact Detective Brian Gates at the Bradenton Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Manatee Crime Stoppers, referencing case 2024-009710. If you knew Katie, or crossed paths with her around town in 2024, what’s one detail you remember that might help investigators?
