Some of the Suncoast’s best female musicians are gathering at 88 Live Bradenton on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. for Women Who Rock the Suncoast, a benefit concert supporting My Breast Friends 941. Twenty-four local women are scheduled to perform across the evening, including Melanie Massell, Karen Lally, and Gracie Topp.
Admission is just $20, and organizers say 100 percent of proceeds go directly to charity. The beneficiary, My Breast Friends 941, provides practical help to women during and after a breast cancer diagnosis: house cleaning assistance, grocery and Uber gift cards, transportation to treatment, and peer support groups. Raffles and an auction throughout the night add more ways to give.
The event has grown from a simple group photo celebrating local female vocalists into a full benefit concert, thanks to bandleader Kurt Kiehnle. Last year’s proceeds supported The Beautiful Gate, and this year the focus turns to breast cancer support in our own community. The venue is at 6640 Cortez Road West, Suite A, in Bradenton.
