Fill the Van Pet Drive Returns for 2026, Now Collecting Across Manatee and Sarasota Counties

SeaMonkey Apparel’s third annual Fill the Van pet donation drive is collecting all October 2026, and this year it stretches into Sarasota County. More than 15 donation stations are set up at restaurants and retail businesses across Manatee and Sarasota counties, more than double last year’s network. Last year’s campaign brought in over 3,200 pounds of pet food and supplies.

The donations support the Humane Society of Manatee County, Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare, and the newly added Humane Society of Sarasota County. The supplies help stock pet food pantries and cover shelter needs like medical care and transport. There are several ways to join in: drop food or supplies at a confirmed site, give funds, round up your purchase at DOGPerfect during October, or buy a SeaMonkey campaign design, with 15 percent of proceeds from new rescue-animal designs and 5 percent from other designs going to the drive.

Co-owner Alexandra Lowe-Mains is the contact for anyone who wants details or wants to set up a collection of their own, and community partners like Cox Chevrolet’s Seth Mitchell are helping spread the word. Before you head out, confirm hours and accepted items at your chosen location. So, where’s your nearest drop-off spot, and what are you planning to bring?
