LEAH McCALLISTER, THE NEW CO-OWNER OF ENGLEWOOD RESTAURANT FOOD IS LOVE TOOK A CALCULATED GAMBLE IN MOVING THE TA-TA-TUESDAY PROMOTION TO FRIDAY THIS YEAR, BUT THE CALCULATOR SHOWS THE MOVE WAS A GOOD ONE.  THE RESTAURANT DESIGNATE ONE DAY A YEAR DURING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH IN OCTOBER TO BRING IN CELEBRITY WAIT STAFF WHO DONATE THEIR TIPS AS WELL AS A PORTION OF SALES THAT DAY TO DOLLARS FOR MAMMOGRAMS, THE ORGANIZATION THAT HELPS WOMAN WHO HAVE BREAST CANCER.  FOOD IS LOVE RAISED MORE THAN $2150 DOLLARS THIS YEAR, BESTING LAST YEAR BY MORE THAN $500 DOLLARS, THANKS TO THE RESTAURANT BEING OPEN FOR THREE MEALS THAT DAY.  THE PRESIDENT OF DOLLARS FOR MAMMOGRAMS, RITA BERTLER, TOLD THE ENGLEWOOD EDGE THAT MONEY WOULD PAY FOR FORTY MAMMOGRAMS AT THE ORGANIZATION’S SPECIAL PRICE.  IN ADDITION, ENGLEWOOD FIREFIGHTERS AND MEMBERS OF THE FIREFIGHTER’S UNION LOCAL 2456 PRESENTED A CHECK FOR MORE THAN $4000 DOLLARS FOR FUNDS THEY RAISED IN THE MONTH WHILE DRIVING AROUND WITH A PINK FIRE TRUCK AND ON PINK T-SHIRT SALES.
