THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL HAS RELEASED THE INFORMATION ON A MONDAY ACCIDENT THAT SENT THREE PEOPLE TO THE HOSPITAL AND CUT POWER TO THOUSANDS OF RESIDENTS.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 49 YEAR OLD CRAIG WOLLAM OF PORT CHARLOTTE WAS NORTH ON EL JOBEAN ROAD NEAR RIVERWOOD JUST AFTER NOON MONDAY WHEN HIS 2005 FORD PICK-UP ACCELERATED AND COLLIDED WITH THE REAR OF A 2000 JEEP CHEROKEE THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 63 YEAR OLD JOSEPH CAMPBELL OF ROTONDA WEST.  THE COLLISION CAUSED BOTH VEHICLES TO TRAVEL OFF OF THE EAST SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY WHERE THEY STRUCK SEPARATE UTILITY POLES.  WOLLAM AND CAMPBELL WERE BOTH AIRLIFTED TO LEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN FT. MYERS.  WOLLAM IS STILL REPORTEDLY IN CRITICAL CONDITION, WHILE CAMPBELL IS LISTED IN FAIR CONDITION.  A PASSENGER IN CAMPBELL’S JEEP, 61 YEAR OLD LINDA CAMPBELL, WAS TAKEN TO ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES.  TROOPERS SAY CHARGES ARE PENDING THE COMPLETION OF THEIR INVESTIGATION.
