AN ENGLEWOOD MAN DIED AFTER HE CRASHED HIS MOTORCYCLE NEAR THE SARASOTA/CHARLOTTE COUNTY LINE IN ENGLEWOOD EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 31 YEAR OLD BOBBY JENKINS WAS SOUTHBOUND IN THE OUTSIDE LANE OF SOUTH INDIANA AVENUE NEAR SOUTH MCCALL ROAD JUST AFTER 2AM WHEN HE FAILED TO NEGOTIATE THE LEFT HAND CURVE AND SLID ONTO THE WEST SHOULDER AND OVERTURNED, EJECTING JENKINS, WHO WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. TROOPERS SAY HE WAS WEARING HIS HELMET, AND THEY WILL AWAIT TOXICOLOGY RESULTS BEFORE DETERMINING IF ALCOHOL PLAYED A ROLE IN THE ACCIDENT.
