A MAN JUST RELEASED FROM JAIL LAST WEEK FINDS HIMSELF BEHIND BARS AGAIN TODAY.  CHARLOTTE COUNTY DEPUTIES SAY THEY WERE CALLED TO A HOME ON CADDY ROAD MONDAY BY A WOMAN WHO’S HOME SECURITY ALARM WAS GOING OFF.  AS THE DEPUTY TALKED TO THE VICTIM IN THE ATTACHED GARAGE, THEY HEARD SEVERAL CRASHING NOISES COMING FROM THE KITCHEN OF THE HOME.  THE REPORT SAYS THE DEPUTY SAW A FIGURE THROUGH AN OPEN DOOR AND HE RADIOED FOR BACK-UP.  THE DEPUTY DREW HIS GUN AND CALLED OUT FOR THE PERSON TO SHOW HIS HANDS, WHICH HE DID.  THE INTRUDER WAS IDENTIFIED AS 26 YEAR OLD GLENN STAPANS, WHO WAS KNOWN TO THE WOMAN.  THE VICTIM SAID THAT STAPANS HAD BEEN FOLLOWING HER FOR NEARLY A WEEK SINCE HIS APRIL 13TH RELEASE FROM JAIL ON AN UNRELATED ISSUE.  EVIDENCE SHOWED STAPANS HAD ENTERED THE WOMAN’S HOME WITHOUT HER PERMISSION, USING THE BATHROOM AND HER LAPTOP WHILE EATING HER FOOD AND TURNING THE POWER OFF TO PART OF THE HOME VIA THE CIRCUIT BREAKER.  STAPANS WAS CHARGED WITH BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING AND AGGRAVATED STALKING.  HE IS BEING HELD ON $11,000 BOND IN THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY JAIL.
