TWO PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT IN ENGLEWOOD YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 81 YEAR OLD HARRY WFLNER WAS NORTHBOUND ON ROBERTA DRIVE JUST AFTER 2PM WHEN HE FAILED TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN AT WILMINGTON BOULEVARD AND PLOWED INTO A PICK-UP TRUCK THAT WAS DRIVEN BY 49 YEAR OLD JAMES WHITE.  THE IMPACT CAUSED THE BODY OF WHITE’S PICK-UP TO DISLODGE FROM THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK, WHILE WFLNER’S VAN ALSO SUSTAINED HEAVY DAMAGE.  WHITE WAS AIRLIFTED TO LEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, WHILE WFLNER WAS TAKEN TO ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY HOSPITAL.  BOTH MEN ARE IN SERIOUS CONDITION.  TROOPERS ARE STILL INVESTIGATING THE ACCIDENT AND CHARGES MAY BE FILED ONCE THEY FINISH.
