Ken Urker, best known as Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex-fiancé and the father of her infant daughter Aurora Raina, was found dead Thursday at his home in Raceland, Louisiana. It was his 34th birthday. According to reports, his brother Dylan found him unresponsive, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 6:15 p.m. A cause of death has not been released, and Blanchard has not commented publicly.
Urker and Blanchard met through a prison pen-pal program and were engaged from October 2018 to August 2019 while she was incarcerated. After her release, the two rekindled their relationship in April 2024 and welcomed their daughter that December. His sister confirmed his death during a TikTok live, telling viewers that his last words to her were “I love you.”
The news comes as a shock to the many people across the Suncoast and beyond who have followed Blanchard’s story since her release from prison.
