A SARASOTA WOMAN WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT ON A BUSY SARASOTA ROAD LAST NIGHT.  THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS 90 YEAR OLD BERNARD OHRENSTEIN WAS EASTBOUND ON FRUITVILLE ROAD AT RICHARDSON WAY JUST BEFORE 6:45PM THURSDAY WHEN HE TURNED LEFT INTO THE PATH OF A CAR DRIVEN BY 79 YEAR OLD IRMA BROWN OF SARASOTA.  BOTH VEHICLES SPUN OUT AFTER THE HEAD ON COLLISION BUT NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED.  BROWN WAS BAYFLITED TO BAYFRONT MEDICAL CENTER IN ST. PETERSBURG IN SERIOUS CONDITION, WHILE OHRENSTEIN WAS TAKEN TO SARASOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES.  TROOPERS SAY BOTH WERE WEARING THEIR SEATBELTS, AND THEY CHARGES OHRENSTEIN WITH VIOLATION OF THE RIGHT OF WAY FOR TURNING LEFT IN FRONT OF APPROACHING TRAFFIC.
