JENNIFER KELLY, WHO HAS LED THE LEMON BAY DRAMA DEPARTMENT SINCE 2000, HAS RESIGNED HER POSITION.  SCHOOL SPOKESMAN MIKE REILLY TOLD WFLN NEWS THAT SHE TENDERED HER RESIGNATION AT HER DISCIPLINARY MEETING WITH SUPERINTENDENT DOUG WHITTAKER ON WEDNESDAY.  REILLY DID NOT KNOW THE TERMS OF THE SEPARATION BUT DID SAY IT WAS NOT THE POLICY OF THE BOARD TO PAY SEVERANCE.  WHITTAKER TOLD THE HERALD-TRIBUNE HER VIOLATIONS INCLUDED LEAVING THE SCHOOL WITHOUT PERMISSION, COMING TO WORK LATE, GIVING STUDENTS ACCESS TO COMPUTER ATTENDANCE AND GRADE REPORTS, AND CREDITING STUDENTS FOR A LEADERSHIP CLASS IN EXCHANGE FOR BABYSITTING HER CHILDREN.  SHE WAS PLACED ON PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE NOVEMBER 22ND, FIVE DAYS AFTER HER ESTRANGED HUSBAND MATTHEW WAS ARRESTED FOR ATTACKING A MAN WORKING WITH KELLY ON A PROJECT AT THE SCHOOL.  THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD IS EXPECTED TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION AT THEIR NEXT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING ON TUESDAY.
